Marjaavaan duo Sidharth Malhotra-Riteish Deshmukh troll each other over posing 'heights'

The last time Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh had come together on the big screen, it was fireworks at the box office. Their film Ek Villain turned out to be a big hit, with Sidharth bagging his sole Rs 100-crore hit, and Riteish Deshmukh too delivered a three-figure success apart from his franchise successes. The duo is reuniting on the big screen with Marjaavaan and apart from their urge to replicate its success, what's also interestig is that much of the plot is similar. Sidharth, the street-side lover, and the ‘villain’ Riteish are out to get each other, while the former’s ‘failed’ love story once again comes in to the picture. While they are heated in their conduct on screen, off-screen, it seems Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh have become good friends. The duo, who have been on a promotional spree for the movie, were seen trolling each other for their past pictures. Sharing unusual snaps of each other, they are were seen connecting it to their movie’s title and rhyming it with ‘Dar Jaavan’, to joke about fright.

A few days ago, a fan had shared a photo of Sidharth from his modelling days, where he is dressed in shiny shorts and has shimmer all over his body, and that was the same with his female co-model. The Student of the Year star had then quipped, “See how Professional I was as a model @PatelDevansh never questioned anything !.... struggling days hai main #Marjaavan.” His co-star Riteish Deshmukh too thought of poking fun at Sidharth for the photograph, by using the film’s title Marjaavan (I'll die) to say that this was the height of posing.  “हाय मैं #Marjaavaan  @SidMalhotra- ufffff ये तो posing की height हो गयी!!!!" the Dhamaal star posted.

The Kapoor & Sons star was quick to respond and within an hour, shared a snap of his co-star in a similarly ‘uncomfortable’ position. A still from one of his films, Riteish is seen topless and with his hands, mouth and neck tied up. Sidharth wrote, “Haaye main “darr” jaawaan!!! @Riteishd yeh “height” toh main match nahi kar paunga.” Though the duo has light-heartedly taken on each other here, it’d be interesting to see their face-off in the movie.

Marjaavaan also stars Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh. It has been directed by Milap Zaveri. The movie is hitting the theatres on November 15.
