Marjaavaan to release soon, Riteish Deshmukh shares first look

Marjaavaan, directed by Milap Zaveri, is an angry romance film releasing on 8^th November. The movie will once again witness antagonist and protagonist, Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra respectively, facing off on-screen after their previous film Ek Villain. In the posters shared on the actor’s social media accounts, Riteish Deshmukh is seen as a dwarf. In an interview to a publication, Director Milap Zaveri said that Riteish will be seen in a witty yet evil role, where he will be taking on Sidharth Malhotra in this action-clad drama.

Riteish Deshmukh’s role in the film

According to Milap’s interview, Riteish Deshmukh eagerly expressed his desire to play the role of a dwarf. Further, Riteish had to go down on his knees during filming to fulfil the requirements of playing a dwarf. In the posters, Riteish is seen walking in front of an effigy of Raavan with a vengeful look on his face. The poster is high on red graphics which conveys what to expect from the film; love, anger and revenge! Milap also mentioned to the publication that along with VFX, a midget was employed especially to get the action scenes and movements of a dwarf right. Milap also said that while Riteish is seen as a dwarf, he has a larger than life personality in the movie.

The poster of Marjaavaan was shared by the celebs on their social media accounts which lead to fans reacting with excitement over Riteish Deshmukh's first look in the film.

The release date of the film has seen changes and is now set to hit the theatres on 8 November. Alongside Riteish Deshmukh, newcomer Tara Sutaria will be seen as the love interest of Sidharth Malhotra. Rakul Preet Singh of De De Pyaar De fame will also be seen as a dancer in the film as per various reports.
