We are talking about the ‘clash’ between ‘Mirzapur’ and ‘Narcos’ on 16 November. While the former is a fresh show, the latter is already a popular one, gearing up for its fourth season. The ‘clash’ is all the more interesting, as apart from rival streaming channels, the plot of both the shows are based on the drug mafia.

The trailer of ‘Mirzapur’, which stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey and Divyendu Sharma had made headlines with his gripping trailer involving crime, drama and loads of action in the Uttar Pradesh city. Naturally, the excitement to watch it when it premieres will be extremely high. On the other hand, ‘Narcos’ already enjoys a loyal fan base with its plot involving Pablo Escobar and the drug cartel in South Amerca. The fourth season has been titled ‘Narcos: Mexico’ and will be based in the country. There’s no doubt that on the digital platform, viewers have the convenience to watch the shows on their own accord, but it still it would be interesting to see what they prefer to watch immediately on release.

The series has been brought out by the team of another hit ‘Inside Edge’ that had released last year. It has been backed by Excel Entertainment’s Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and created by the director of the cricket-based series, Karan Anshuman, along with Puneet Krishna. The series has been directed by Gurmmeet Singh. ‘Mirzapur’ also marks a reunion of Ali Fazal with Farhan and Ritesh’s banner after the big success of ‘Fukrey Returns’ that had released late last year.
