During her interaction with Rajeev Masand on the show, "Women We Love", Gupta was asked if she felt any regrets or 'grudges' as none of her friends gave her work.

Opening about the matter, the actress said, “Big grudges, none of my friends gave me work, none of my friends. I have very close friends, who have been making movies and he was making one small movie and a theatre actor from my play suggested my name to him and wo bhool gaya tha.”

On the professional front, Veteran actor Neena Gupta and Sanjai Mishra are sharing screen together in a film called "Gwalior" written and directed by Rajiv Barnwal and Jaspal singh Sandhu.

"It is an interesting concept. I play Manju Mishra, a housewife, and the story narrates how an uneducated woman who is perceived as weak handles a situation involving cash crunch,” Neena shared .

Sanjai will play her retired teacher husband, Sambhu Nath Mishra, she added.

Neena Gupta was last seen in 'Badhaai Ho'.

The comedy-drama is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and is jointly produced by Vineet Jain, Hemant Bhandari and Aleya Sen under the banner of Junglee Pictures and Chrome Pictures. Through the trailer, one understands that the concept is different and is not something that has been touched upon before. In India ‘Log Kya Kahenge’ is a major crisis and this movie seems to be focussing on that.
