Not Shah Rukh Khan, Mannat could’ve been Salman Khan’s house if not for this question asked to him by Salim Khan years ago

Two of the biggest superstars of the county, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, are neighbours and stay just kilometre apart in Bandra, Mumbai. But, where would the latter have stayed if not for Mannat, if the ‘Dabangg’ star had bought his iconic bungalow? Yes, Salman was interested in buying the sea-facing house before his ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ co-star bought it, but Salim Khan asking him why he needed such a big home made his refuse the offer then.

Salman, in a recent interview with an entertainment portal, revealed that he was offered to buy Mannat many years ago. However, he didn’t sign on the dotted line then because his father, veteran screenwriter, Salim Khan asked him ‘Itne bade ghar me karoge kya?’ (What will you do in such a big house?)  

Salman, in the interview, also asked SRK what he himself does in such a big house.

While ‘King Khan’ went on to own Mannat, even Salman’s Galaxy Apartments is no less of an attraction. Both the residences are sure-shot locations to visit for tourists. Not to forget, the number of fans who turn up at the superstars’ birthdays and other days of importance like Eid, is something very few stars across the world can boast of.
