Nushrat Bharucha: How the actor remained strong amid adversities

Nushrat Bharucha, the Dream Girl lead actor, fought depression during her early days in Bollywood. She came into the limelight in Pyaar Ka Punchnama.

Nushrat Bharucha kick-started her Bollywood career in 2006 with Ahmed Siddiqui’s Jai Santoshi Maa. The Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor has never looked back since. Bharucha came into the limelight with her role of Neha in Pyaar Ka Punchnama. She is on cloud nine with her movie Dream Girl successfully joining 100 Crore Club.

Meeting a group of girls

After the release of her commercially successful film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Nushrat visited a group of 50 young girls from Mumbai slums. She made them aware of how to defend oneself in case any untoward incidents happen. According to reports, Nushrat Bharucha revealed how she has always been told that she is ‘petite’ and ‘can get hurt easily’. That urged her to study martial arts in college. More than being a great fighter physically, Nushrat gained mental strength and a rise in confidence. This helped her prove her detractors wrong.

Nushrat Bharucha: The one who summoned strength to keep herself going

In an interview with a Bollywood portal, Nushrat also revealed her struggle with battling depression. She said, her family and friends stood like a rock by her side through a low phase. The Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame actress kept faith that the sun will rise again after a new moon night. She added that a little voice inside kept her going during the tough phase.

Dream Girl movie soaring heights

Love Sex Aur Dhokha actor is soaring the skies with the success of her recent movie, Dream Girl. The movie also stars Ayushmann Khurrana. According to reports, Dream Girl is Ayushmann Khurrana’s second highest-grossing film after Badhaai Ho. Nushrat Bharucha is working on her upcoming film Turram Khan alongside Rajkummar Rao. Directed by Hansal Mehta, Turram Khan is based in a small town of Uttar Pradesh. This comedy movie is slated to release on January 31, 2020.
