'Pagalpanti': John Abraham all set to make a comeback in comedy genre

John Abraham has been playing serious roles for quite a long time now. His previous movies Batla House, Romeo Akbar Walter, and Satyameva Jayate were all-action thrillers where he played a cop or a spy. The list of his serious roles is quite big, comedy movie was Welcome Back in 2015. However, the actor is all set to make his comeback in the comedy genre with Pagalpanti. In an interview with news agency PTI, he said, "The last time I was doing comedy was in Welcome Back. In Pagalpanti, you will see my body language and everything else and you'll realise it is not the same John. There will be a visible change." John said that according to Anees Bazmee, he tried to improve in the comedy genre by leaps and bounds and he believes that it is very important to improve. He added that cinema is about entertainment and if he can do a convincing job by making people laugh, it is amazing.

About 'Pagalpanti'

Pagalpanti is an upcoming multi starrer comedy film. The cast of the movie includes Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Ileana D’Cruz, Urvashi Rautela, and Kriti Kharbanda, and Saurabh Shukla. The plot of the film is said to be around a group of tourist from India, who goes on a vacation trip to London that turns into a patriotic mission. The shooting of the movie is majorly done in London. Director Anees Bazmee has been constantly sharing behind the set videos and photos on social media.

Avoiding the clash

Pagalpanti was supposed to release on November 8, 2019, clashing with Marjaavaan starring Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria, and Riteish Deshmukh. However, director Anees Bazmee decided to avoid the clash and pushed his film further. The movie will now release on November 22, 2019. He revealed this with the first official cast picture together and a generous caption.
