Panipat Movie: Actor Kriti Sanon talks about her role as Parvati Bai

Director Ashutosh Gowariker is directing a historical drama based on the third battle of Panipat. The movie titled Panipat: The Great Betrayal has an ensemble cast consisting of Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Sanjay Dutt, Zeenat Aman, among others. The film recreates the third battle of Panipat focusing on the Maratha commander-in-chief Sadashiv Rao and his second wife Parvati Bai's relationship. Arjun Kapoor will play the role of Sadashiv Rao and Kriti Sanon will be playing Parvati Bai. The cast recently wrapped up the shooting of the film and Kriti shared a heartfelt post expressing her shooting experience.

The Lukka Chuppi actor, in an interview with media, expressed the challenges of essaying a character like Parvati Bai. Parvati Bai was Sadashiv Rao's second wife. The story traces their love story and how Parvati Bai was a pillar of strength to the Commander-in-chief in the Third Battle of Panipat. Sanon revealed how she had to learn horse riding and prepare for sword fighting along with Kapoor. The actor was vocal about how Ashutosh Gowariker developed a beautiful character for her, even with limited historical references about Parvati Bai. The actor expressed how Gowariker and team have crafted a strong role with the available facts. Sanon also revealed how accomplished her experience was working with Gowariker and Kapoor on Panipat.
