Considered as one of the most anticipated period-dramas of the year, Panipat is now just a month away from its release. The trailer of the film was recently unveiled. Starring Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt in the leading roles, the plot of Panipat is traced back to the 1760s when the third battle of Panipat was fought. Panipat- facts

Padmini Kolhapure and Zeenat Aman have reunited for Panipat for the first time after 39 years since Insaaf Ka Tarazu 1980.
Sanjay Dutt, Mohnish Bahl and Padmini Kolhapure acted together in Bekaraar 1983 during their early days. The actors have reunited for Panipat after 36 years.
Panipat is Mohnish Bahl's first historical film.
