Parineeti Chopra Welcomes 'Nick Jiju' To The Family With A Heartwarming Message

Priyanka Chopra's cousin sister Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra extended a heartwarming message for her sister and brother-in-law Nick Jonas.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and American vocalist Nick Jonas finally exchanged vows on Saturday, December 1 at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. As per media reports, the couple got hitched in a Christian wedding ceremony on the day and following the same they kick-started the customs for their traditional Indian wedding which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 2.

On late Saturday evening, the pair shared the first official pictures from their pre-wedding festivities. They took to Instagram and shared the happy pictures from their Mehendi ceremony with identical social media posts.

Sharing a picture of the same on her Instagram, Priyanka's cousin sister Parineeti Chopra posted a heartwarming message for the newlyweds.

In the post, she wrote, "The MEHENDI. The job of us bridesmaids was to make sure the bride was happy & comfortable at all times. But we didn't have to worry about it - coz Nick promised to do it all his life. Welcome to the family Nick jiju! I'm so happy that the Jonas & the Chopra family is now United!"

Priyanka and Nick kick-started their wedding customs on November 28 with a small puja held at Priyanka's Mumbai residence. The pair then moved to Jodhpur accompanied by their family and friends. The international couple, who kept much of the wedding celebrations under wraps, revealed their look from the Mehendi ceremony in the Instagram posts. The couple donned traditional Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla couture for the event. 

The actress was seen donning a gorgeous multicoloured lehenga while Nick complimented her look donning an aqua sherwani. 

Celebrating the 'amalgamation of cultures' Priyanka and Nick captioned their respective social media posts saying, "One of the most special things that our relationship has given us a merging of families who love and respect each other's faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was in the afternoon that kicked of the celebrations in the way we both dreamed."

As per media reports, following the wedding festivities, Priyanka and Nick will be hosting two receptions, one in Mumbai and the other in Delhi.
