Payal Rohtagi lodges complaint against Ajaz Khan alleging he posted lewd comments against her on social media

Bollywood actress Payal Rohatgi who was in the news recently for alleging that Mumbai Police has blocked her on Twitter, recently launched a complaint against Bigg Boss fame Ajaz Khan alleging that he posted lewd comments against her on various social media platforms and also hurt religious sentiments of a certain community.

As per media reports, she recently visited the cyber cell office and submitted her application which stated that Khan has hurt the feelings of a particular community by posting certain comments on social media. She reportedly further accused Khan of misogyny, accusing him of using derogatory language against a Bollywood actress and calling her ‘C-grade'. The Cyber cell officials reportedly confirmed that they will look into the matter.

Meanwhile, Ajaz Khan has been sent to 14-day judicial custody in relation to his case for uploading objectionable videos on social media. 

As per PTI, a Mumbai court announced 14-day judicial custody for the actor on Saturday. His lawyer said that they will file an application with the magistrate, the report claimed. 

Khan was in police custody till Saturday after a magistrate court’s decision about the same on Friday.

The Cyber Crime Unit of the Mumbai Police arrested Khan on Wednesday for posting inflammatory videos on the social media app TikTok. In the first one, he urged members of a religious community to take ‘revenge’ over a lynching incident in Jharkhand. In the second video, he featured alongside a group of  TikTok ‘stars’, whose account was suspended after Mumbai Police lodged a case against them. They mocked Mumbai Police in the video. 

Police said that the video created ‘hatred among the public at large’ and promoted ‘enmity on grounds of religion.’
