Priyanka Chopra: Here is looking at the Quantico actor's social causes

Priyanka Chopra enjoys a generous fan following due to the various social causes she supports. The actor works towards children and women's rights extensively.

Priyanka Chopra is a global icon due to her several celebrated achievements. The actor is not only a distinguished actor but is also a successful film producer. Priyanka Chopra has also garnered a tremendous fan following due to her philanthropy works and social causes. The actor was anointed as the national UNICEF Good Will Ambassador for the Child's Rights on August 10, 2010. Since then, the actor has been extensively working for this cause. Priyanka Chopra has established her foundation, ‘The Priyanka Chopra Foundation for Health and Education.' This organization works towards the welfare of several underprivileged children when it comes to education and health.

The Priyanka Chopra Foundation For Health And Education 

Reportedly, Priyanka Chopra donates ten per cent of her savings for the functioning of the establishment's operations. The foundation reportedly funds the educational and health expenditures for around seventy underprivileged children in the country, in which about fifty are girls. According to media reports, the actor has spoken extensively on women's issues like female infanticide and genocide. Priyanka is also an active supporter for the equality in the remuneration for women. Priyanka Chopra is the brand ambassador for Greenathon

The actor also supported the 2005 HELP! Telethon Concert which was aimed towards raising funds for the victims of the Indian Ocean earthquake which took place in the year 2004. Since the year 2006, Priyanka Chopra has been associating with UNICEF where she spoke about children and women's rights in several media discussions. The actor also reportedly participated in the celebration of the anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Priyanka Chopra also curated promotional messages for the Pearls Wave Trust which campaigns against the abuse against women and children. The actor also initiated the ‘Save The Girl Child' campaign. The actor is also the brand ambassador of a distinguished news channel's initiative which was titled as Greenathon which works towards environmental issues and for the provision of the solar power to the villages lacking electricity.
