Radhika Apte career: Lesser known movies of the Sacred Games actor

Not just Hindi movies, but Radhika Apte has been a part of regional cinema too. She has been a part of Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali film industries over the past few years. Not many would be aware that Radhika appeared as a debutante in Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao's Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! back in 2005. There are a few other projects that she was a part of before becoming a well-known face.

Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!

Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! was her Bollywood debut movie. Radhika did this movie at the age of 20 while she was still studying in college. Although she played a small role in the movie, it is said that the film changed her life. And it was from there when she decided to pursue acting.

Antaheen

Antaheen was a Bengali film which had Radhika play the character of a TV Journalist in the film. The director of the film Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury cast Radhika in his film after seeing her performance in a play titled, Bombay Black. The cast of the film also includes Aparna Sen, Rahul Bose, and Sharmila Tagore.

Gho Mala Asala Hava

Radhika played the role of a village girl named Savitri in this movie. The movie was a family drama where she played a leading role in the film. The movie was directed by Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukthankar.

Upcoming films of Radhika Apte

The Sacred Games actor has two upcoming films lined up including Shoot The Piano Player and Raat Akeli Hai which is going to release in 2020 and 2021 respectively. Shoot The Piano Player is directed by Sriram Raghavan. This is her second movie with the director and the actor Ayushmann Khurrana after the movie Andhadhun. She recently shared the poster of the film on Twitter.

 

Recently, the 34-year-old actress has worked with Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar in Lust Stories last year. Radhika has been fortunate enough to have been nominated for Best Actress in International Emmy Awards for her performance in Lust Stories.
