After giving successful hits like Bareilly Ki Barfi and Stree, Rajkummar Rao will soon make a comeback to the silver screen with interesting projects. The actor was last spotted in Judgemental Hai Kya opposite Kangana Ranaut. The Citylights actor’s versatile roles and box-office collections on multiple occasions have proved that he is a phenomenal actor. Rajkummar will soon be seen starring in Hansel Mehta’s next Turram Khan which is slated to release on January 31, 2020.

Rajkumar Yadav or Rajkummar Rao?

The actor had made headlines for suddenly changing his name from Rajkumar Yadav to Rajkummar Rao. Rajkumar Yadav of Kai Po Che and Shahid movie fame suddenly surprised his fans with the announcement that from now on he will be credited as Rajkummar Rao. According to media reports, the Aligarh actor was considering to change his name from a very long time because it sounded familiar to Rajpal Yadav’s name. After a recent controversy with Rajpal, he finally made his decision to change his name.

Rajkummar opens up about why he changed his last name to Rao

It was a really unexpected move by the actor after gaining so much fame in the industry. In an interview, the actor explained why he changed his name. He said that his mother asked him to add an extra ‘m’ in his name. The actor also shared that he always wanted to keep his last name as Rao, because Rao and Yadav have the same meaning in Haryana. He also said that he felt this is the right time to change his name as later he had lots of big banner movies coming up.

In the interview, the actor also shared that his mother believes a lot in numerology and she has also asked him to wear various stones and rings which he has been avoiding. However, while he is not too keen about the rings, he mentioned that all that does not bother him much because he knows about her love for him and respects it. The actor is known to have played many versatile roles. His portrayal of a psychopath in the movie Judgemental Hai Kya was appreciated a lot by the critics. However, the movie did not do well at the box-office. The actor will soon be seen in Made In China directed by Mikhail Musale. The movie also stars Mouni Roy, Boman Irani, and Paresh Rawal in the prominent roles. The movie is produced by Dinesh Vijan.
