Ranveer Singh to star in Jayeshbhai Jordaar opposite Shalini Pandey

Ranveer Singh will be next seen in Kapil Dev's biopic '83, which is slated to release on April 10, 2020. '83 is a biopic based on the life of former successful skipper Kapil Dev. Deepika Padukone will play Ranveer Singh's onscreen wife in the film. Ranveer Singh's fans were in for a pleasant surprise when the news of Ranveer signing a new film for YRF started doing the rounds. The Gully boy actor is all set to play a Gujarati character in his upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar, under Yash Raj banner. Popular Telugu and Tamil actor Shalini Pandey will be playing the female lead in the film opposite Ranveer Singh.

Shalini Pandey won millions of hearts with her breakthrough performance in Tamil blockbuster film Arjun Reddy(2017). She also got global recognition for her portrayal as Preeti in the film. Arjun Reddy was remade in Bollywood as Kabir Singh(2019). Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani played lead roles in the film. Similar to Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh also did exceptionally well at the box office. The shooting of Jayeshbhai Jordaar will start in November 2019, the film is slated to release in the year 2020.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar will mark Shalini’s debut in the Hindi Film Industry. It will be interesting to see Ranveer and Shalini romancing each other on the silver screen for the first time. The film will be directed by Divyang Thakkar, who has acted in some hit Gujurati movies like Chasini , Boygiri, Bey Yaar, and, Chanakya Speaks. Reportedly, Divyank Thakkar's impressive writing and the great story of the film made Ranveer sign Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
