How long did it take to perfect the look?

It is reported that both Bhumi and Taapsee had to undergo almost three hours of prosthetic makeup to transform into the characters they play. Prosthetic makeup, however, is a lengthy process that uses various techniques to perfect the look. It is a process where prosthetic moulding, sculpting, and casting techniques are used to give a more realistic and advanced effect on the make-up. Taapsee and Bhumi had to sit for make-up for three hours every day and shoot with the makeup for eight hours a day.

There are reports stating that Bhumi got blisters on her face because of the heavy make-up, tedious climate, and extensive working hours. The heat of Uttar Pradesh had a role to play in the reaction that Bhumi had on her face. As per the reports, apparently, the dust, heat and long working hours under the sun caused the prosthetic to have a reaction on Bhumi’s face. The source has said that they noticed that Bhumi’s skin had been burning and Bhumi kept mum about it as she knew that they were on a tight schedule.

She further stated that she has given her everything to this project and that she’s proud of her battle marks.

Apart from Taapsee and Bhumi, the movie also features Prakash Jha and Vicky Kadian in key roles.
