Since the time the sharpshooter duo made a place for themselves nationally and internationally after winning multiple awards, thousands have begun to look up to the two of them. Girls from Johri took up shooting as a sport and got jobs in the Army, Police, BSF with the help of the Sports quota. After getting to know their impressive accomplishments, Bollywood star Aamir Khan himself extended an invite to both of them to appear on his show.
Their appearance on the Amir Khan's show helped them reach a larger audience. Realising how inspirational their journey was, the makers of Saand Ki Aankh wanted to showcase their journey on celluloid.
Talking about the film, director Tushar Hiranandani said, “When I saw the Shooter Dadis on Aamir Khan’s show, Satyamev Jayate and came to know about their journey and achievements, I just couldn’t control my tears. I was so inspired that I told my wife, Nidhi, that this story needs to be told. At that given moment we decided to tell their story to the world and yes that’s how Saand Ki Aankh happened.”
