Saif Ali Khan is busy promoting his revenge drama Laal Kaptaan. The trailer of the movie has already created a lot of buzz among fans. During his promotions, the actor was asked whether he is planning to star opposite Dil Chahta hai actor Aamir Khan in a Tamil remake. To the question, Saif replied that he would love to work with Aamir, but right now, there is no confirmation about the same.

Vikram Vedha's Bollywood remake to star Saif Ali Khan and Aamir Khan?

The Nawab of Pataudi also gave a small hint to everyone saying that there is no smoke without fire, so if they heard about it there might be some truth regarding to the rumour. According to reports, the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha might re-unite Saif and Aamir duo on the big screen. The movie is a thriller that is based on the folklore of Raja Vikramaditya and Betal. The Tamil movie stars R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupati in prominent roles. In the movie, R Madhavan plays the role of the cop Vikram, and Vijay Sethupati plays the role of a gangster Vedha.

Vikram Vedha was based on an Indian folk tale

According to reports, earlier the Hindi remake of the movie was about to star Shah Rukh Khan and R Madhavan in lead roles. Even R Madhavan reportedly expressed his wish of working with Shah Rukh Khan for the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha. If the latest rumours are to be believed, Saif Ali Khan and Aamir Khan will share the screen almost after a decade. The two actors last worked together in Dil Chahta Hai. The audience is already impressed with Saif Ali Khan’s intense role as a cop in Sacred Games. On the other hand, if the rumours are true, Aamir Khan will remind everyone of his villainous character from Dhoom 3.

The rights of the Hindi remake are reportedly with Neeraj Pandey and the movie is speculated to release by next year. The original Tamil version of Vikram Vedha was released in 2017 and was a blockbuster hit with a total box office collection of Rs. 70 crores. Soon after the movie was a hit, rumours of it being remade in Hindi started doing the rounds. According to reports, the Bollywood version of the movie is slated to release in 2020.
