Salman Khan has been one of the leading actors in Bollywood and has continued to own the trend of releasing movies on the Eid weekend every passing year.

Salman Khan has been one of the leading actors in Bollywood since his debut film Biwi Ho Toh Aisi in 1988. The Bharat actor played the lead role for the first time in Sooraj Bhartajya’s romantic drama Maine Pyar Kiya, which was a commercial hit. This critically acclaimed film was the highest-grossing movie of the year 1989. 

Bhaijaan has continued to own the trend of releasing movies on the Eid weekend every passing year. The Tiger Zinda Hai actor’s last release Bharat was Khan’s biggest opening with ₹ 42.30 crore on the auspicious day of Eid. Check out the list of other films of Bhai released during Eid.

1. Dabangg (2010)

This action film is the first instalment of the Dabangg series. Released in 2010, Dabangg showcased Salman Khan as cop Chulbul Pandey. According to the Box office India, this movie earned ₹ 14.50 crore on its first day. Currently, the actor is prepping up for the release of the third instalment Dabangg 3.

2. Bodyguard (2011)

Helmed by Siddique, Bodyguard is an action comedy film starring Kareena Kapoor opposite Salman Khan. Released in 2011, this movie is a remake of Malayalam film of the same name. According to sources, the film earned ₹.21.60 crore on its opening day. The film was not only a commercial success but also the highest opening day grosser and highest opening week grossing Bollywood movie.

3. Ek Tha Tiger (2012)

Kabir Khan’s romantic action thriller movie starred Salman Khan alongside Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles. Produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the film was a massive blockbuster hit. Ek Tha Tiger is the first film in Khan’s Tiger franchise. The movie set the recond for three years for being the highest opener with ₹32.93 crores.

4. Kick (2014)

After ditching the Eid in 2013, Salman Khan returned with a blockbuster hit film Kick the following year. The action comedy film was released on July 25, 2014. Kick also starred Jacqueline Fernandez in a prominent role. The film collected ₹ 26.40 crore on its opening day.

5. Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)

Bajrangi Bhaijaan starred Harshaali Mehta with Salman in lead roles. Kabir Khan’s comedy-drama film struck the audience’s emotional chord. The film collected ₹ 27.25 crore on the first day.

6. Sultan (2016)

Khan played a wrestler alongside Anushka Sharma in Sultan. His first collaboration with Ali Abbas Zafar was a major blockbuster hit. This sports drama earned ₹ 36. 54 crore on Day 1. Produced by Aditya Chopra, Sultan was one of the highest-grossing films ever.

7. Bharat (2019)

The Wanted actor reunited with Katrina Kaif in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat. Produced under the banners of Reel Life Productions, Salman Khan Films and T-Series, this movie was released on June 5, 2019. Bharat is the Hindi adaptation of South Korean film, Ode To My Father (2014). This Salman starrer was a huge commercial success.
