Satte Pe Satta remake: Will Anushka and Hrithik star together?

Speculations are rife that Anushka Sharma and Hrithik Roshan have been approached to be a part of the Satte Pe Satta remake. It was a couple of months back when Farah Khan, along with Rohit Shetty announced an untitled next. Satte Pe Satta was a Hindi feature film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in lead roles. The movie released in 1982. The movie had many iconic scenes and is regarded as one of the most popular movies in Bollywood till date.

The copyrights of Satte Pe Satta have been bought by Farah Khan, who is known for making films which are all about entertainment and drama. She will be teaming up with film director and producer Rohit Shetty. The Simmba director is known for making movies which are filled with action, drama and entertainment. While the filmmaker is currently working on Sooryavanshi, he is also apparently going to start working on the project with Farah.

Lead cast

Ever since the movie has been announced, there is much curiosity among fans to know who has bagged the lead roles. According to a source quoted by a media portal, it is being said that Hrithik Roshan and Anushka Sharma may be seen romancing each other on the big screen. Speculations are, Hrithik once again might step into the role of Amitabh Bachchan in this movie. The War actor had previously played the role of Amitabh’s character in the remake of Agneepath. If the speculations are right, then this would be the first time that Hrithik Roshan and Anushka Sharma will be seen together on the silver screen.

What Farah Khan had to say about the cast

Speaking about the movie's cast, Farah said to a leading media portal, “Unless we come together and make a proper official announcement, everything is speculation. I am waiting for Rohit, because he is quite occupied these days, finishing the last leg of the shooting of his film Sooryavanshi. Let people continue guessing and the reports run. I would still say those are all speculation.”
