The trailer of 'Section 375' was released a few months ago and there has been a lot of hype around the release. Even critics classify it as an extremely gripping story, if the trailer is an indicator to go by. The courtroom drama directed by Ajay Bahl stars Richa Chadha and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles. The trailer is almost three minutes long and begins with a police inspector questioning Anjali (played by Meera Chopra) about a sexual assault case.

Section 375 in the Indian Penal Code deals with rape. The trailer shows Richa Chadha playing a public prosecutor fighting for the justice of Meera Chopra's character. Akshaye's character, as per the trailer, seems to be misusing Section 375 to save his client. The corrupt character of Akshaye at one point can be seen saying, “We are in the business of law, not in the business of justice."

While talking about her character, Richa Chadha was recently quoted saying, "I want to stay in the zone of my character. We did a massive portion of courtroom sequences that needed me to stay focused, as it expected of me to be in the element and be in the character which was high on emotions. Shooting for courtroom scenes needs a lot of channelling of emotions, and thus, my life was all about going to the sets and back home. I haven't met anyone or been part of any social gatherings as I wanted to maintain a low profile for this period."
