Shammi is considered by fans and critics to be one of the best actors of the Bollywood film industry. The late veteran actor has fans across the country even today. The actor was the leading man of Bollywood in the mid-1950s and at the beginning of the 1960s. He was last seen sharing the screen with Ranbir Kapoor in the film Rockstar (2011). He died at the age of 79 in the year 2011. On the anniversary of his 88th birthday, here are some of the best scenes of the actor that will remain evergreen.

1. Junglee (1961)

Junglee was one of the films Shammi Kapoor was known for. The scene in the film where he realises he is in love with Saira Banu and is unable to decide how to react is one of many where he proves his calibre. The character can be seen as being frustrated and confused. The film was an absolute hit amongst the audience. The song from the film called Chahe Koi Mujhe Junglee Kahe is one of the evergreen hits songs of that era.

2. Bluff Master (1963)

Bluff Master is a film where Shammi Kapoor played a con man. The actor has a scene where he shows up at “Kapoor sahab’s” place and is seen justifying why he stole the camera. The actor was loved by the audience for this sequence. He can be seen acting like an innocent man who lost his wife and has to feed his sons. The film also stars Saira Banu is a significant role. 3. Kashmir Ki Kali (1964)

In this film, Shammi Kapoor plays the role of Rajeev Lal, the son of a wealthy businessman, who is in search of true love. The scene where Shammi Kapoor’s character, Rajeev Lal, comes face-to-face with Sharmila Tagore’s character, Champa, is considered to be one of the most famous scenes by the actor. The scene tries to showcase the two actors falling in love at the first sight of each other. Another scene that stood out was when Shammi Kapoor acts like a physically challenged person in order to get rid of a marriage proposal that was arranged for him. The actor nailed the scene, which was widely appreciated by the critics.

4. Teesri Manzil (1966)

Teesri Manzil is one of the most famous films of Shammi Kapoor. The film stars Shammi Kapoor as Rocky and Asha Parekh as Sunita. The duo has a sequence in a train where they can be seen arguing over the laughter of a man. The two actors were loved in the sequence as the fans could not stop talking about the duo and the film around that time.

5. An Evening in Paris (1967)

This film starred the actors Sharmila Tagore and Shammi Kapoor on the big screen. The film was directed by Shakti Samanta and was set in France. The film had a number of scenes that stood out for the masses. However, the scene where Shammi Kapoor talks to Sharmila Tagore for the first time and offers to take her out for a coffee is one of the best scenes. There is also a scene where he fakes being a gangster on the phone to save Sharmila Tagore's character, Deepa Malik. This movie is considered by fans to be one of the best films of Shammi Kapoor.
