Marjaavaan: Sidharth Malhotra terms critics 'middleman', 'obsolete'

The Marjaavaan actor talks about critics:

In an interview with an entertainment portal, the actor talked about the position of the critics in the Indian Film Industry. He says that the critics today have become obsolete and called them the 'middleman' of the industry. He said that he personally does not have anything against the critics. He said he just feels that nowadays there is so much content put out there about the film that the audiences have already made up their mind, regardless of what anyone writes. Talking about the audience, he said that if there is something that attracts them, they will buy the tickets. He also said that the audience has become much smarter and they do not need any 'middleman' to tell them to go watch a film. His co-star of Marjaavaan, Rakul Preet Singh, also agreed with Sidharth, saying that India is full of different kinds of audiences and that we have enough people who enjoy this kind of cinema, referring to the movie Marjaavaan.

On November 1, the Marjaavaan actor had shared the second trailer of the movie on his official Twitter handle saying that he is very excited to share it and asked the audience to watch the trailer to find out why Raghu killed Zoya. He had tagged his co-stars Tara Sutaria, Rakul Preet and others in the tweet. He also tagged the producers and makers of the film.

Marjaavaan is set to release on November 15, 2019. It will feature an ensemble cast that includes Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria, and others. The movie is written and directed by Milap Zaveri. The actors of the movie are very excited about the release of the movie and are seen sharing the trailers on their social media handles.
