He has been blasting out at the actress for the past couple of days on Twitter. In his latest post on the micro-blogging platform, Apurva called Kangana an ‘evil force’ and slammed the media for giving Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi a ‘hit verdict.’ He also indirectly labelled the film as ‘flop.’

His tweet read, “And your bogus hit verdict is giving the evil force more power. The film was made at 130cr & has to make atleast that to break even. But it has made under 60cr, has mixed WOM & declining footfalls. It's way short of even breaking even. This is what the trade usually calls a flop.”

Manikarnika' was one of the most anticipated films of 2019, and the period drama is based on the life and struggles of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
