Dabangg, the action-comedy film directed by Abhinav Kashyap, was released in the year 2012. She played the character of Rajjo, who belongs to a poor family. She earns her livelihood through pottery. Sonakshi Sinha is an independent woman who knows how to stand up for herself in the movie. Eventually, she falls in love with Chulbul Pandey (played by Salman Khan) and marries him. Sonakshi Sinha’s dialogue “Thappad se darr nahi lagta sahab, pyaar se lagta hai” became massively popular when the movie released at the box office. Rajjo in Dabangg 2

Dabangg 2 is the second installment of the Dabangg franchise. It was released in the year 2012 and became the second-highest grossing movie of the year. In the movie, Chulbul Pandey is on a mission to arrest the don Thakur Bachcha Singh, who is struggling to become a politician. On his quest to justice, Chulbul Pandey ended up killing his brother which brings a twist to the story. In the meantime, his wife Rajjo becomes pregnant. To avenge the death of his brother Bachcha Singh meets Rajjo and Makkhi (played by Arbaaz Khan) and pushes them from the stairs of the temple. Both of them survive, but with Rajjo having a miscarriage and a head injury in the incident. Chulbul who is enraged by the death of his first child fights Bachcha Singh and murders him at the climax of the movie. Rajjo is then shown giving birth to a baby boy.

Sonakshi Sinha recently took to Instagram, to reveal her look in Dabangg 3. She is seen wearing an elegant floral saree. Dabangg 3 is going to hit the cinema houses on December 20 this year. The film also stars Sudeep, Mouni Roy and Arbaaz Khan in pivotal roles. Through the Dabangg journey, Sonakshi Sinha's character seems to have evolved from being a naive village-girl to being a mature woman who stands by her husband's side.
