Sonakshi Sinha wanted to become an astronaut during schooling years

Actor-turned-politician Shatrugan Sinha’s beloved daughter Sonakshi, wanted to become an astronaut when she was young, but destiny had something else in store for her. The Dabbang heroine shared this information in an interview with a news daily. She was a fashion designer before she embarked on a career as an actor. In the interview, she said that she wanted to become an astronaut, but she was very weak at maths. Because of this, no institute would have given her admission. Sonakshi Sinha said she loves sports like swimming and playing tennis, and once she thought of becoming a swimmer too. She also considered becoming an artist because her sketching was good, but she ended up becoming an actor. Sonakshi also mentioned that she was a courageous girl and that she was inspired by many people from different walks of life while making a career choice.

Sonakshi Sinha completed her graduation and pursued her career in fashion designing from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University (SNDT). She then volunteered with many fashion designers for fashion shows. She was then spotted by Arbaz Khan at a fashion show, who approached her for Dabbang. She said that, for her, the switch from fashion to cinema was all destiny. She said she never wanted to be an actor, but it was an offer that she could not reject. Sonakshi says she never thought a heroine could get famous for her dialogue.

However, her transition from fashion to acting wasn’t easy. She weighed around 90 kgs when Arbaz had offered her a movie, and she had to lose around 30kgs for the role. Her Instagram still has pictures of her transformation. Sonakshi is an inspiration to many in terms of acting and transformation.

She was last seen in Mission Mangal alongside Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sharman Joshi, and Tapsee Pannu. Sonakshi Sinha has been a part of Dabbang and Dabbang 2 and she will be seen in Dabbang 3 as well, opposite none other than our very own Chulbul Pandey, Salman Khan. Apart from that, she will also be seen in Lal Kaptaan, which will release next year.
