Apart from New Year, which people all around the world rang in, the actress also celebrates her birthday on the first day of the year. A website for ‘Sonali’s Book Club’ was launched on the occasion of her birthday. The ‘Sarfarosh’ star announced the news on Instagram to share that she was ‘quite literally’ starting a new chapter in her life.

Sonali added that she has numerous plans in store for 2019 and that she was ‘thrilled’ to see this latest initiative being the first step in that direction. The actress also was keen to know the feedback on the website. She concluded her post by writing that 2019 was the time ‘to create something new.’

For the uninitiated, the ‘Sonali’s Book Club’, which goes by the abbreviation and hashtag #SBC, is an initiative by Sonali to bring together bibliophiles to share their common passion for reading.

Her Instagram handle is filled with pictures where she poses with the next book that has been selected for ‘Sonali’s Book Club.’ The actress also hosts masterclass sessions where famous writers like Amish Tripathi, AJ Finn, Rashmi Bansal, Anand Neelakantan, among others have been among the speakers.

Her friends including Sussanne Khan, Dia Mirza, ‘Swades’ actress Gayatri Joshi, and others took up responsibilities of the club when she was in the USA for cancer treatment.
