Sonam Kapoor married Anand Ahuja on May 8, 2018, in a grand Punjabi marriage in Mumbai. They reportedly met because of a common friend, named Pernia Qureshi, in 2014. Pernia was Sonam's stylist and was also good friends with Anand. After a month of meeting Sonam, Anand proposed her. The first time they were seen together was in 2016 at the success party of Rustom. Sonam denied that fact that she was in a relationship. Anand officially admitted the relationship in 2017 while speaking with a leading magazine.
