Sooraj Pancholi: Salman Khan launches 'Satellite Shankar' actor

Salman Khan or the beloved Sallu Bhai has reportedly given a helping hand to launch innumerable actors in Bollywood. From Aayush Sharma, Daisy Shah, Sonakshi Sinha, Athiya Shetty to Sooraj Pancholi, all these newcomers kick-started their Bollywood career under the mentorship of Salman Khan. Sooraj Pancholi was launched with the lead role in a romantic action movie Hero alongside debutante Athiya Shetty. Directed by Nikhil Advani, the film is a remake of the 1983 movie of the same name starring Jackie Shroff. Released in 2015, Hero was a failure at the box-office.

Before Salman Khan launched him in Hero

Sooraj was born to the Bollywood actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab. The Hero actor’s grandfather was a renowned filmmaker, Rajan Pancholi. Initially, Sooraj worked as an assistant director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish which featured Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles. He also worked in Kabir Khan’s directorial film Ek Tha Tiger. This 2012 romantic action thriller drama stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in prominent roles.

Sooraj Pancholi’s Satellite Shankar

Sooraj Pancholi is currently gearing up for his upcoming venture Satellite Shankar alongside South Indian actor Megha Akash. This Irfan Kamil’s action drama directorial film is based on the lives of soldiers. The film revolves around the struggles, and adventures that a jawan experiences while serving their country. Satellite Shankar was filmed in various locations across ten states of India. To get into the soul of the character, Pancholi spent a lot of time with army jawans in Pathankot, Chitkot and Amritsar basecamps. Produced under the banner of Cine 1 Studios and Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited, the action film is slated to release on November 15, 2019. Upcoming projects

The Satellite Shankar actor will be next seen in his upcoming dance movie Time to Dance. Helmed by Stanley D’Costa, the film features debutante Isabelle Kaif and Waluscha De Sousa opposite Sooraj Pancholi in the lead roles. According to sources, Time to Dance will portray Sooraj as a street dancer and Isabelle as a Ballroom Latin dancer. The movie is co-produced by Remo D’Souza and Bhushan Kumar under their respective banners of Remo D’Souza Entertainment and T-Series.
