Street Dancer 3D: Shraddha Kapoor replaced Katrina Kaif in the film?

Shraddha Kapoor has been on a career-high this year. She has had a successful run at the box office with Chhichhore and Saaho. The latter marked the actor’s debut in the South Indian film industry. She will be next seen in Street Dancer 3D.

What does Shraddha Kapoor say about Street Dancer 3D

It is a known fact that Katrina Kaif was the original choice for Street Dancer 3D but due to certain reasons, she could not take up the project. Shraddha Kapoor was later approached for the role. She has revealed in an interview to an online portal that Remo D’Souza, the director of the film, is her guru and she can never say a no to him. She adds that she is very excited to team up with her ABCD 2 co-stars again.

While talking about stepping into Katrina Kaif’s shoes, Shraddha Kapoor reveals that such things are a part and parcel of the film industry and they are bound to happen. She says that she is thrilled to be a part of Street Dancer 3D majorly because of her love for dance. She also expresses that she had a great time on set as well. Shraddha is quick to add that her character is very different and exciting compared to her role in ABCD 2.

The actor had been training for the Saina Nehwal biopic when she was offered Street Dancer 3D. She could not resist the offer and left Saina a few days before the shooting of the film commenced. Shraddha was replaced by actor Parineeti Chopra later. Parineeti is currently shooting for the biopic.

Shraddha is someone who never takes success too seriously. She also says that a lot of the cast members were injured during the shoot of Street Dancer 3D. She is currently recovering from a neck injury herself that she endured during the filming. She also feels that she is on cloud nine with the love she has been receiving. 

Street Dancer 3D, directed by Remo D’Souza, is currently in its filming stage. The film also stars Varun Dhawan, Nora Fatehi and Prabhu Deva in lead roles. The film is expected to be released on January 24, 2020. Street Dancer 3D might also clash with  Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga.
