'Sui-Dhaaga - Made In India' Mints Money At The Box Office

The much-awaited Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer ‘Sui Dhaaga - Made In India’ hit the silver screen on September 28, 2018. The Sharat Katariya directorial traces the life of Mauji essayed by Varun Dhawan and Mamta played by Anushka Sharma, who defy all odds to start their very own garment business. Jointly produced by Maneesh Sharma and Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films this masterpiece is not only directed but written by Sharat Katariya.

While several members of the film industry lauded the film, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to reveal that the film has minted over Rs. 40 crores within days of its release. On Tuesday, Adarsh tweeted, "#SuiDhaaga has a STRONG Day 4... A decline of 15.66% on Day 4 [vis-à-vis Day 1] indicates SOLID HOLD... Big holiday today will boost biz and add to a BIG TOTAL... Fri 8.30 cr, Sat 12.25 cr, Sun 16.05 cr, Mon 7 cr. Total: ₹ 43.60 cr. India biz."

He added, "Bit early to guesstimate the biz of #SuiDhaaga on a national holiday [today]... A big holiday ensures enhanced footfalls and in this case, a double digit total is a certainty... Since the family audience are patronising the film, a consistent run on subsequent days is assured."

From Huma Qureshi, Ali Abbas Zafar, Shashank Khaitan to Tanuj Garg, Bollywood lauded the film. Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma will next be seen in the Anand L Rai directorial titled 'Zero'. The film that is reportedly jointly produced by  Colour Yellow Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment also stars Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Kha in pivotal roles. This much-awaked flick is slated to the hit the silver screen on December 21, 2018.
