Sunil Shetty receives notice for allegedly interfering in daughter Athiya Shetty's film 'Motichoor Chaknachoor'

After debuting in Bollywood with 2015 film 'Hero', actor Sunil Shetty's daughter is all return to the silver screen with upcoming film 'Motichoor Chaknachoor', the romantic-comedy which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

After debuting in Bollywood with 2015 film 'Hero', actor Sunil Shetty's daughter is all return to the silver screen with upcoming film 'Motichoor Chaknachoor', the romantic-comedy which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui. However, as the film is in works, recently, media reports suggest that the producers of the film, Rajesh and Kiran Bhatia have sent a public notice to Sunil on March 13 with the help of their advocates Ramesh and Kusum Jain, asking him to keep away from the upcoming project.

The filmmakers reportedly clarified in the statement that they are the sole decision-making authority on every aspect of the project and Sunil's interference on the same in any manner will not be entertained. It also warned of consequences if he doesn’t comply with the notice. 

Neither Sunil nor Athiya have responded to the issue yet. However, the 'Dhadkan' star's manager has confirmed the news and he has decided to speak about it at the right time.

Meanwhile, 'Motichoor Chaknachoor' marks the directorial debut of the popular television director Debamitra Hassan on the big screen. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty in pivotal roles. The duo commenced the shooting of the film recently and it is quite an unusual pair to watch on screen. Athiya and Nawaz began shooting for the film a while back and a major portion of it is set in Bhopal and will be shot there. As per media reports, the film is basically about weddings and relationships.

According to reports, Athiya will be seen playing a small-town north Indian woman, and she has undergone rigorous training under a language coach to perfect her dialect and accent for the role. The actress who made her debut with the 2015 film 'Hero' opposite Sooraj Pancholi and then featured in the ensemble cast of 'Mubarakan' co-starring Arjun Kapoor is yet to make her mark in Bollywood. Perhaps 'Motichoor Chaknachoor' alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui could fetch her the critical acclaim as an actress. The release date of the film is yet to be announced, however, it is expected to release by the end of the year.
