Sushant Singh Rajput reminisces his 'Kedarnath' journey, shares throwback picture

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput on Sunday, December 23, shared a throwback picture from the sets of the film where he and his co-star Sara Ali Khan can be seen all dressed up for the filming of the song 'Sweetheart'.

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput is currently riding high on success as his latest film 'Kedarnath' is fairing well in the box office. The actor on Sunday, December 23, shared a throwback picture from the sets of the film where he and his co-star Sara Ali Khan can be seen all dressed up for the filming of the song 'Sweetheart'. In the post, the pair can be seen grooving to the party song and Sushant revealed that the picture was clicked a year back. He captioned the picture saying, "This day, last year... :))" and added few lines from the song.

Abhishek Kapoor's directorial venture 'Kedarnath' stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan in the lead. It is backed by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor under the film production banners of RSVP and Guy in the Sky pictures. Set against the backdrop of a catastrophic deluge that hit Uttarakhand in 2013, the film narrates a heart-wrenching love story of a Hindu girl and the Muslim boy as they struggle to deal with communal clashes while also trying to survive the devastating floods of Uttarakhand. In the film, Sushant Singh Rajput plays the role of a Muslim 'Pithoo', a tourist escort named Mansoor, whereas Sara Ali Khan is portraying as Mukku, the daughter of an elite Hindu family. The film marks the debut of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and his former wife Amrita Singh's daughter Sara and fans are much impressed by her performance in the project.

'Kedarnath' was dragged into controversy ahead of its release as several political parties had objected against a kissing scene of the lead pair in the film, stating that it violates the beliefs of the Hindus and hurts their sentiments, promoting 'love jihad.' However, overcoming all controversies the romantic saga marked a grand release on Friday, December 7.
