Sushant Singh Rajput-Sanjana Sanghi starrer romantic comedy film has been pushed to next year. The coming-of-age flick was scheduled to theatrically release on November 29, 2019. The release date has now been shifted to May 8, 2020. Based on John Green’s 2012 bestselling novel The Fault In Our Stars, the movie is helmed by Mukesh Chhabra. A critically acclaimed Hollywood movie was also released by the same name, starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. The romantic drama showcases the tragic love story of two young cancer patients.

Release date pushed forward

Dil Bechara will mark the Bollywood debut of Sanjana Sanghi who also appeared in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rockstar as a supporting character. The actor took to social media and announced the new release date through her Instagram post. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh and music composer of the upcoming film AR Rahman also shared the new date on their official Twitter handles.

New motion picture

According to reports, Dil Bechara was earlier named as Kizzie Aur Manny but got changed in February 2019. On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of iconic Hollywood romantic comedy-drama film The Fault in Our Stars, the filmmakers revealed a new motion poster of the Hindi remake. In the semi-animated motion poster, Sushant Singh Rajput is seen sitting on a bike with the Rockstar actor Sanjana, who is tightly hugging him from the back. Reportedly, Dil Bechara will also feature Sacred Games actor Saif Ali Khan in a cameo role.

Sushant Singh Rajput: Work front

The MS Dhoni: The Untold Story actor was last seen in Netflix original movie Drive alongside Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead role. Sushant was also seen in Chhichhore opposite Shraddha Kapoor in prominent roles. The movie garnered acclaim from the critics and the audience alike and was a huge commercial success at the box office.
