Aankhen (2002):

Aankhen was thriller film based on the story of revenge of a temperamental man who robs a bank with the help of three blind men. Sushmita Sen essayed the role of a woman who trains the blind men for the robbery. Sushmita gave a stellar performance in the film as Neha. She stood out as an actor amidst experienced actors like Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kuman and legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan.

This film was a masterpiece by Raazi director Meghna Gulzar. Sushmita Sen played the role of a strong, independent woman in the film, who willingly agrees to become a surrogate mother for her best friend. Sushmita acted like a dream in this movie. Every scene delivered by her in Filhaal was nothing short of brilliance. Even though the film didn't do well at the box-office, it was highly critically acclaimed. Main Aisa Hi Hoon (2005):

This film is indeed one of the most underrated performances of Sushmita in which she plays the character of a successful and honest lawyer, who fight a case in favour of an autistic man. The story is about an ongoing legal battle of the man in order to win the custody of her daughter who he loves dearly. The courtroom scenes in the film were nail-biting and hard-hitting. Sushmita Sen beautifully essayed the role in Main Aisa Hi Hoon. In fact, her character was the life of the film.
