The much-awaited Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy trailer was released today on YouTube, in five languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The film is directed by Surrender Reddy. The film will be featuring a talented star cast of Shri. Amitabh Bachchan, Dr Chiranjeevi, Kichcha Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu, Ravi Kishan, Nayanthara, Tamannaah and Niharika in significant roles.

Dr. Chiranjeevi is portraying the role of the fierce rebel Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Nayanthara will be playing the role of Chiranjeevi's wife Uyyalwada. Amitabh Bachchan is also a part of the movie, he will be playing the role of his mentor.

Farhan Akhtar reacts

The Hindi distributor of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is under the name of Excel Movies, which is founded by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani in the year 1999. Farhan Akhtar shared the Hindi Trailer of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy on his Twitter handle. 

The film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is based on the story of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, who was a freedom fighter from the roots of Kurnool district, in Madras Presidency. He revolted against the cruelty of East India Company 10 years before the Sepoy Mutiny did. Reddy, who had 66 villages under his control and an army of 2,000 men, could not tolerate the injustice done by the corrupt officials of EIC (East India Company) and the suffering that his people went through under their colonization. He was publicly hanged on February 22nd 1847, on the banks of a nearby river in the presence of Collector Kokcrane. His head was kept on the fort wall in public view for 30 years from 1847 to 1877 to generate fear in the people so that another rebellion would not raise his voice against the British.

When is it releasing?

The Hindi trailer starts with the slogan 'Bharat Mata Ki Jay', followed by the narration in the majestic voice of Amitabh Bachchan. The power-packed trailer is filled with action and also includes bloody war sequences. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is said to be a big-budget film with the budget of ₹ 200 Crore, and ₹ 45 Crore only on the VFX.
