Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy hit the screens yesterday, October 2. The film released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages. The story revolves around Narasimha Reddy, who was the territorial administrative and military ruler of Uyyalawada. He revolted against the atrocities of the East Indian company, during the early colonial period. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has veteran actors like Chiranjeevi, Amitabh Bachchan, Ravi Kishan, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupati, Tamannaah Bhatia and more. The movie, reportedly, did well with the critics in Chiranjeevi's home-town but saw a slow opening to the Hindi-version of the film. The question arises, was the movie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy based on a true story?

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy - the film is based on a real story from the historical period. The makers of the film have added a twist of drama and jaw-dropping action sequences. A story that was unknown to many, was brought to light by Chiranjeevi who essays the character of Narasimha Reddy in the film. The plot of the film revolves around how Narasimha Reddy raised his voice against the atrocities of the Britishers before the 1857 freedom movement. Kannada star, Sudeep’s character Avuku Raju joins hands with Narasimha Reddy and the two share a bond in the film that fans loved to watch on screen. Overall, the film dives into the story of Narasimha Reddy's righteous efforts in the battle and his bravery proved to be an inspiration for the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy reviews

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy movie saw a series of good and bad reviews by its audience. Reports say that the two hours and 50-minutes movie went quite a bit slow during the initial part of the film and that the story picked up during the second half. The screenplay of the film is said to be overwhelming. Fans saw a disclaimer read out by Ram Charan ( son of Chiranjeevi) that gave an idea that the filmmakers had taken utmost care while telling the story of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, to avoid hurting anyone's sentiments.
