Tapsee Pannu talks about Kangana being offered Saand Ki Aankh

Actor Taapsee Pannu, who recently appeared in Saand Ki Aankh alongside Bhumi Pednekar, spoke about her role which was reportedly originally offered to Kangana Ranaut. The movie Saand Ki Aankh is inspired by true events and tells the story of two Indian sharpshooters. Hence the name Saand Ki Aankh (bullseye). Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel tweeted out that Kangana turned down the role as she wanted an age-appropriate actor to play the part. Perhaps she expected an elite and age-appropriate actor like Jaya Bachchan to play the role?

Taapsee speaks about Kangana

The movie Saand Ki Aankh is the story of two grandmothers who embark upon the journey of becoming sharpshooters after the age of 60. While talking in a recent interview with a leading entertainment portal, Taspsee said that the makers of the film must have approached Kangana. However, they never approached her initially. In fact, it was she who sought them out when she heard the movie was being planned. The actress also spoke boldly that she has no shame in admitting that she sought them out. However, it took them two years to find the parallel female lead.

Taapsee and Kangana have reportedly been in a cold feud for some time now. Taapsee spoke about the ongoing debate regarding her and Kangana. The actress said that she is happy to be called a reflection of Kangana as she always looked up to her. She was also disappointed about the feud that originated from Kangana’s side. Taapsee said that Kangana claims to be the highest-paid female actor and she is not. But she does not see that as derogatory.  The actress is bold and secure with herself which is one of the parts we love about her.

In the interview, Taapsee said that she loves Kangana and will not hold anything against her. She loves her as a performer and will continue to do so. She has established herself well in the Indian film industry and she does not want to get off on the wrong foot with anyone. The Saand Ki Aankh actress has been on the top charts of Bollywood and she is doing pretty well as per her calibre.
