Priyanka Chopra Jonas is returning to Bollywood after her marriage to Nick Jonas after a hiatus of almost three years. The desi girl was last seen playing a cop in Jai Gangaajal in 2016. She is all set to woo the audience with her upcoming flick The Sky is Pink, where she shares the screen space with her Dil Dhadakne Do co-star Farhan Akhtar. The movie is helmed by Shonali Bose, who is known for directing the critically acclaimed movie Margarita with a Straw. Priyanka Chopra Jonas along with Siddharth Roy Kapoor and Ronnie Screwvala has produced the film. PC in an interview revealed that The Sky is Pink is the very first Hindi movie that she has produced.

Priyanka to share the profit?

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been in the news for allegedly sharing a percentage of the profit made by the movie. It is a common practice for megastars like Shah Rukh Khan, Amir Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. The source claims that these mega stars get to share the profits as they know that they are a brand, and that people will come to see their movies just because of their involvement with the project or the posters. It has been alleged that PC has waved off her upfront fee and will be sharing the profits of the films instead.

Supposedly, Priyanka has huge expectations from the film. She stated in an interview that she wanted the story of the family to be told to the masses. The film is currently ranking at number 1 on IMDb’s list of 'Most Anticipated Indian Movies and Shows'. Reports suggests that Priyanka Chopra Jonas is very well aware of her fan following and her name alone will draw the audience to the theatres. Priyanka, on a social media post, was quoted saying that the movie is special to her on many levels. She also thanked the cast and crew for their efforts and dedication in the same post.

The Sky is Pink is based on the real-life story of a teenager who is diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. The teenager narrates the story of her parents from her point of view. Chopra Jonas also reportedly claimed that the young girl believed in celebrating life rather than mourning the loss. The movie stars Rohit Saraf and Zaira Wasim in pivotal roles, apart from Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka. The Sky is Pink is the only Indian film to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and will release on October 11, 2019.
