Speaking about Tiger's debut in the film Heropanti, he was immediately praised for his acting as well as his presence as an action hero. For his role in Heropanti, Tiger won several accolades including Star Guild Awards' Best Male Debut, BIG Star Entertainment Awards' Most Entertaining Actor (Male), as well as the Superstar of Tomorrow (Male) award during the Stardust Awards

Similarly Kartik Aaryan too was well-liked when he made his debut, however, he did not get to shine individually as he was only one of the three main leads, on account of Pyaar Ka Punchnama is a buddy film. For his role in Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Kartik was nominated as for the Best Male Debut award at the Producers Guild Film Awards

At the box office, both films performed similarly. While Kartik's Pyaar Ka Punchnama earned only around ₹50 crores in comparison to Heropanti's ₹72.6 crores, the profits earned by each film was still similar. This was because 2011's Pyaar Ka Punchnama had a budget of only around ₹10 crores while 2014'S Heropanti had a much higher budget of around ₹25 crores.

Tiger Shroff's highest-grossing films include Baaghi 2 and 2019's War. Baaghi 2 made in impressive ₹254.33 crores. Though without a doubt Tiger's highest-grossing film is War, which made a worldwide amount of ₹473.6 crores. However, War featured the popular actor Hrithik Roshan in a lead role as well, which could be why it performed so well at the box office. Baaghi 2, on the other hand, was a success thanks to Tiger Shroff's star power alone.

Kartik Aaryan highest-grossing film were both recent romantic comedies. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety made around ₹152.75 crores while Luka Chuppi made around ₹128.86 crores. Kartik's most successful film was certainly Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, but it still was not as commercially successful as Tiger's highest-grossing films.

Tiger will next feature in the upcoming 2020 film Baaghi 3. Kartik will be seen next in the remake of Pati Patni Aur Woh which will be released on December 6, 2019. While the two actors made their debut in the same decade just a few years apart, their prefered genres are much different, with Kartik preferring to work in romance and comedies, and Tiger mostly working in action films.
