UNSEEN PICTURES: PM Modi poses with Jeetendra, Asha Bhosle, and others, encourages everyone to visit National Museum of Indian Cinema

Following the inauguration event of the National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai on Saturday, January 19, the official Instagram handle of the honourable PM shared some unseen pictures from the event on Sunday, January 20, where he can be seen getting along with the Bollywood fraternity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai on Saturday, January 19. The event was attended by Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Central Board of Film Certification chief Prasoon Joshi, among other dignitaries.

Several A-listers from Bollywood including Asha Bhosle, AR Rahman, Randhir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Parineeti Chopra, Karan Johar, Kangana Ranaut, Ramesh Sippy, Rohit Shetty, Randhir Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Raj Kumar Santoshi, Jeetendra, Aanand L Rai, Badshah, Gauri Shinde, Asha Parekh, Divya Dutta, Poonam Dhillon, Imtiaz Ali, and Kunal Kohli, and others, were spotted attending the event.

Following the same, the official Instagram handle of the honourable PM shared some unseen pictures from the event on Sunday, January 20, where he can be seen getting along with the Bollywood fraternity. He can be seen posing with veteran singer Asha Bhosle, actor Manoj Kumar, Jeetendra and Aamir Khan among others. In fact, in one of the pictures, he can also be seen posing with the sculpture of Mahatma Gandhi, while Information and Broadcasting minister Col. Raghavendra Rathore can be seen standing behind the stage. 

The Instagram post was captioned saying, "#Mumbai is home to a wonderful National Museum of Indian Cinema. Go visit it whenever you can!"

Moreover, while giving his speech addressing the audience, Prime Minister Narendra Modi drew reference from Vicky Kaushal's latest film 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' as he quoted the iconic slogan, 'How's the Josh?'. The country chief's move was cheered with a huge round of applause by the audience as they replied to it saying "High Sir!"

Meanwhile, talking about the museum, the gallery is spread across two adjacent buildings that will not only cater to the needs of film critics and enthusiasts but also enthrall the visitors through a varied number of visuals, and multimedia expositions about India’s century-long cinematic journey. The creation of the museum has been guided by the Museum Advisory Committee headed by Shyam Benegal, and an innovation committee headed by Prasoon Joshi was also constituted to provide an upgrade to NMIC.
