Vicky Kaushal loses 13 kgs for his role in Sardar Udham Singh

Actor Vicky Kaushal is busy these days preparing for his film, Sardar Udham Singh. The film is based on the revolutionary freedom fighter Uddham Singh and is currently in the filming stage. It has recently emerged that, for the film, Vicky has shed close to 13 kilos. Vicky Kaushal is 31 and will be seen essaying the role of Uddham Singh in his early 20s.

Reportedly, the Uri actor is said to have lost 13 kilos in just three months for Sardar Udham Singh. He lost all the weight for the portions of the film where his character is younger. It is said that it was not easy for the actor to deal with the weight loss. But Vicky was clear about wanting to shed the weight and look convincing as a 20-something boy.

The film is directed by Shoojit Sircar

More details also emerged on Vicky Kaushal's preparation for the role. Vicky worked with a trainer while maintaining a strict diet. The actor will embark on a 25-day shooting schedule for the film in Amritsar. Sardar Udham Singh is directed by Shoojit Sircar and written by Riteish Shah and Shubendu Bhattacharya and is scheduled to release on October 2, 2020. In the next few months, Vicky has a slew of films to look forward to. In February 2020, Vicky will appear in the first part of the horror film, Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship. He will also play a role in Karan Johar's magnum opus, Takht. The film is a multistarrer set in the Mughal period and also stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Jahnvi Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar.
