Akshay Kumar who recently conducted a 'non-political' interview of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was asked about voting by the reporters during film premiere of Karan Kapadia's debut film 'Blank'.

Akshay Kumar was asked by a media person about how he was missing on the day of polling (April 29), to which Kumar gave a sarcastic reply and refused to answer, and walked away. He told the reporter, 'haan, chaliye beta.' Post which, the actor looks like he was irritated and was telling the same to his manager who walked him till the car.

The 'Kesari' actor is being trolled on social media and the above video is going viral.

Before the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 had begun, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tagged Akshay Kumar in one of the tweets and urged him to spread the awareness about voting. He wrote: "The power of a vote is immense and we all need to improve awareness on its importance. Thoda Dum Lagaiye aur Voting ko Ek Superhit Katha banaiye."

To which, Akshay Kumar had responded: "True hallmark of a democracy lies in peoples participation in the electoral process. Voting has to be a superhit prem katha between our nation and its voters." [sic]
