And for some of our sports stars, it happened with those who belonged to a different career field like the film industry. Quite a number of sports personalities started a new life along with their actor partners. From cricketers to football players and wrestlers, some renowned sports personalities such as Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech, Zahir Khan and Sagarika Ghatge tied the knot.

1.  Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma

The wedding of the captain of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli was one of the biggest weddings of 2017 as it received a tremendous amount of media attention. He was the skipper of the Indian cricket team when he got married to Anushka Sharma, one of the leading actresses of Bollywood. Their wedding also created a huge hype because Virat Kohli opted out of the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka at the time of his wedding. Virat got married to his actress girlfriend Anushka Sharma in a private wedding at Tuscany, Italy, which was attended by a handful of family and friends in December 2017.

2.  Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech

Yuvraj Singh, the former Indian cricketer, played in all forms of games in the Indian Cricket Team. He got married to model and actor Hazel Keech in November 2016. The two got married in the presence of family and friends in a traditional Sikh ceremony at the Fatehgarh Sahib Gurudwara near Chandigarh. Reportedly, post the marriage, the newly married couple was blessed by Braham Gyani Sant Ram Singh.

3.  Zahir Khan and Sagarika Ghatge

The former Indian fast bowler Zahir Khan married his girlfriend Sagarika Ghatge. She was featured in Shah Rukh Khan’s 2007 sports drama, Chak De India. It was the movie on the life of an Indian hockey player turned coach, also depicting the life of other female hockey players. The couple opted for court marriage in November 2017, followed by a grand reception for the film industry celebs and Zahir’s teammates.
