Hrithik Roshan might be known as the Greek God of Bollywood, but the truth is that he is just a human after all. Someone could be blessed with good looks or a well-built physique, but maintaining it is no mean feat. The actor showed that returning to a good phase physically is harder when your fitness goes for a toss. The actor is currently makes the audiences go gaga over him with his act in War. However, the journey from flab to fab for Hrithik involved intense dedication and resilience.
Hrithik on Thursday shared an inspirational video of how he achieved his enviable physique for War. The video starts from September 2018, when the actor got a big belly after his role in Super 30. He is heard saying, “Inside everyone’s head I have the best body in the world. I couldn’t believe this happening all over again. It was the hardest thing that I had to go through. The only person I had to blame was myself.”
Pointing to his paunch in the video, the Dhoom 2 star says, “That was my torso” and he even says “Lot of fat, man.”
Exertion is not easy for Hrithik Roshan because he has had a few slipped discs and due to his left leg being shorter, there is a reaction on his spine, the video shows.
When the makers of War approached him, “I had a month to get in shape and I told them I needed six, and they laughed,” Hrithik revealed.
“There was a very slim chance that we could pull this off,” Hrithik said. “Little bit of hope, little bit of fear. Let’s see what happens,” he says.
Hrithik tries his best, by trying out various training methods, but it was too hard for him initially. He expresses in frustration, “Don’t tell anyone that this is how we build the body, then no one would want to build it this way.”
But he didn’t lose hope, “It feels too heavy for now. Will do something else, I need to prove it to my kids, to myself that life is worth it.”
That spirit helped Hrithik in taking forward his mission, before putting intense efforts in achieving the body that Kabir flaunted in War.
Even Tiger Shroff, his War co-star and someone who considers Hrithik an idol, was left mesmerised, “Sir bade hoke aap k tarah banna hai 😍”
Katrina Kaif responded “Hrithikkkkkkkk 🌟outstanding”
Varun Dhawan called it 'Incredible.'
Meanwhile, War has been doing outstanding business at the box office, having earned over Rs 200 crore and being all set to be one of the biggest hits of this year.
