War starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff is set to hit the theatres soon. The action-drama movie is one of the most awaited films of the year. Ahead of its release, Hrithik revealed that he would not have done the movie if anybody else would have been cast as the other lead, apart from Tiger. Read to know the reason behind it.

No War without Tiger, says Hrithik

In an interview, Hrithik said that he had gained weight and became lazy after doing Super 30. He was enjoying food and reportedly, his workout was stopped while working on Super 30. He was waiting for a script that would empower him to get back in shape, which he finally found in War. But before joining the movie, he said only one thing to the director and producer, that he would only do the film if Tiger Shroff was cast in it.

In the same interview, Hrithik revealed the reason saying that Tiger is the only person who can stand in front of him as the other leading protagonist in War. He had to be at his best to match with Tiger, and he did not think that he was at par with him even after that. Hrithik further added that working with Tiger is a good thing as both the actors keep inspiring each other to do better. Praising Tiger, he said that Tiger is phenomenal and he is going to stay in the industry for 50 years being untouchable.

Earlier in an interview, director Siddharth Anand also said that he would not have gone ahead with the film without Tiger Shroff. He said that he could not think of any other person better than Tiger to face Hrithik in the film. Reason being, the actor has several skills that match Hrithik, which makes the two pair easier to work with. Siddharth further revealed that if Tiger would have said no, he would have scrapped the project.

Reportedly, the movie has been shot in 15 different cities and seven different countries. Vaani Kapoor is playing the leading lady, paired opposite Hrithik Roshan. The movie is produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Siddharth Anand. War is a high-octane action film which is said to have 'never seen before' action scenes in Bollywood. It is slated to release on October 2, 2019, clashing with Syeraa Narasimha Reddy and Hollywood movie Joker.
