Here are some strong quotes by Priyanka Chopra at the event:

  1. Social responsibility is something that we all need to feel. We all live in this world. Our actions can resonate far beyond what we see. We have a responsibility to care about our society.
  2. Well I’ve known him for two years but I kind of, I don’t know, I didn’t think that this would be what it turned out to be. It all happened so fast. Like we decided to prep this wedding in October and we got married the first of December. You have to prioritize what’s important to you. We just make sure we don’t go more than two weeks without seeing each other. He’s such an old soul. Extremely smart. So good for me. I call him Old Man Jonas — OMJ.
  3. I am a wild child, I do whatever I want whenever I want and he always supports me.
  4. I’m not a planner, honestly, I’m really not. Opportunity strikes when you least expect it. The smarter thing is to recognize opportunity.
  5. Ideas are the currency of the present.
  6. We come from families where philanthropy is not a choice, it's just second nature. 'If we focus on the children of the world, the world becomes a better place.
  7. Feminism is all about choices. Every individual woman makes individual choices.
  8. Allow your brain to have ideas. Think about how you can make those ideas real, because this is the time when we can do it. Never before in history of mankind have we been able to sit in our homes, have an idea and maybe create into an app and monetize it. You can do anything, anywhere. It’s just that people hold themselves back, thinking that, ‘Oh I don’t know if I could even attempt this because I don’t have connections’. You can make the connections, it’s all in the mindset that has to be updated a little bit.
  9. Unfortunately, people like to read about me falling on the red carpet a lot more than anything else that I do, so I take that power and actually bring the attention to something that the world actually needs to talk about.
  10. A lot of actors that I speak to don’t have ambitions to move out of the industry. Bollywood is the biggest, if not the first industry to make films and the demographic is so large, they don’t want to leave that..
  11. I played ethnically ambiguous parts. It took me all those ethnically ambiguous parts to be where I am today. I did not want to do stereotype roles because then all you will see is what I already know I can do. I am Indian, I can do that.
