WATCH | Sunny Leone in tears as she talks about trolls targeting her for crowdfunding team member's treatment and his subsequent death

Actors face a hard job considering all the negativity coming their way. And with social media making it easier for netizens to directly attack the celebrities, most of them don’t even know what the stars have to go through. Sunny Leone breaking down while talking about trolls targetting her for the fund-raising initiative for her team member before he passed away, is a proof of how hard it is for them to deal with it.

Sunny recently appeared on Arbaaz Khan’s chat show ‘Pinch’ where she was asked about trolls mocking her for a crowdfunding campaign for her team member’s treatment, estimated to be Rs 20 lakh then. The actress had even posted on Instagram then, but netizens had slammed her for not paying the amount herself since her ‘bags and shoes’ were of that amount. 

Reacting to this, Sunny revealed on the show that she and her husband Daniel Weber did all they could for him, and it was only a small amount they asked to crowdfund. She broke down saying they had failed at saving Prabhakar and that they miss him.

“Prabhakar was sick a lot longer than when I posted that. And Daniel and I took care of all his financial needs. All from the hospital bills, all of the blood transfusions that he would have to do because he had kidney failure. His kidneys were not working, maybe it was less than ten per cent.” 

"When you find out that your friend or someone that you're working with so long is going to die if we don't help him, then you go into a panic and I know he has been working in this industry for a very very long time and a lot of people love him. And it is not just medical bills, it's his home, his family, his lawyer bills because he had to apply for transplants, he had a son, what I wrote out there was a small amount of what actually needed to be done." 

"There was so much that we wanted to do for him, there were so many things and we failed and he died." 

Arbaaz too shared how he knew about Sunny making calls all around as she was extremely keen to shift him out of the hospital he was being treated at and even take him to America for treatment. He too said that’s the reason he too shared Sunny’s post then.

 Sunny then shared that Prabhakar was quiet and not someone who’d tell people about his situation and ask them to pray for him or help him. 

"I don't care what people think. I don't care if they think I might have a hundred million dollars, my thing for him was... let me tell everybody who loves you so much and who would want to take care of you, that you are sick and we didn't, we failed, he didn't make it. It's been really hard, we all miss him,” Sunny said while breaking down.
