We Have Nuclear Power Because Of Him: Diana Penty Remembers Former PM Vajpayee

Diana Penty expressed her grief on hearing about the demise of former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The nation is in shock and grief as we lost one of the finest leaders of the country, former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who breathed his last on August 16. The entire nation is mourning Atal Ji's loss including Bollywood. Ever since the news of Vajpayee's demise broke Bollywood celebrities including Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, Shahrukh Khan have been expressing their condolences on Social media. In an exclusive interaction with Republic TV the 'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran' star Diana Penty expressed her condolences on the loss of the BJP patriarch.  The 'Cocktail' actress also revealed how she learned all about the former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee during her shoot for her latest release film  'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran'.  The film showcased the first nuclear test conducted in Pokhran by our Indian Army  under the leadership of the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former president APJ Abdul Kalam in the year 1988.

Diana said, 'I am sad that I didn't have the opportunity to meet him but when I was working on 'Parmanu 'it is that time that I read so much about him and got to know so many things about him that I ever have known before and my respect for him is doubled. I can't even put it in words how much I respect him. It's because of him that we are a nuclear power today because it is under his leadership that India did those test in difficult conditions and so it's a sad day for us that we have lost him.'

Diana Penty who will be next seen in the second instalment of 'Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi', will be seen reprising her role of 'happy'.

Meanwhile, the sequel of  'Happy Bhag Jayegi'  a series that was started with Diana Penty will feature an ensemble cast of Sonakshi Sinha, Jassi Gill, Piyush Mishra, Jimmy Sheirgill, Ali Fazal, Aparshakti Khurana. The fun riot is directed by Mudassar Aziz and the sequel  'Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi' will hit the theatres on August 24. The first instalment of this film was a blockbuster hit.
