Soon after Varun Dhawan's 'Sui Dhaaga: Made in India' hit the theatres, fans of the star came up with the request for another project. The fans of the actor who starred in the lead role in 2017 film 'Judwaa 2', are now demanding for the third instalment of his comedy-drama. On Saturday, September 29, '#WeWantJudwaa3' started trending on Twitter.

Here's what Twitter-verse had to say about 'Judwaa 3':

The 1997 action comedy 'Judwaa' starring Salman Khan in a double role opposite Karisma Kapoor and Rambha, was directed by Varun Dhawan's father David Dhawan. It was was a remake of the Telugu film Hello Brother (1994) which in turn was loosely based on the Hong Kong action film Twin Dragons (1992). It marked the first collaboration between David Dhawan and Salman Khan. The film was widely lauded by the audience for its amazing storyline and performance of the actors. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala the film recorded a huge success at the box office. It was the ninth highest-grossing film of the year.

As David Dhawan resumed his role as the director of the film, Varun Dhawan took up the role of twin brothers - Prem and Raja - the character played by Salman Khan in the previous venture. The film which also starred Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez released on September 29, 2017, received huge acclamation from the audience. Produced under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film recorded a massive box office collection.

Although there is no official confirmation on the making of 'Judwaa 3', makers last year hinted at the possibility of the same with a behind the scenes video of Varun Dhawan and Saman Khan. In the clip, the stars are seen shooting for the climax sequence of a film and by the end of the video, director David Dhawan can be seen pointing at a boy standing next to him and asking ‘Judwaa 3’ to which Salman nods.

Here's the video:

There are speculations, that in the next venture the director will bring back Salman Khan on-screen, not just in a cameo role but as a character.
